To "Skylark" is and old English slang term for going out in the night with boisterous friends and strong libations. The Skylark Bar is located near the corner of 16th Street and Valencia in the heart of San Francisco's Mission District. With its Latin culture and abundance of eclectic bars, restaurants, art gallerys and Independent movie houses, the Mission is San Francisco's diverse alternative nightlife mecca.

The Skylark first opened its doors for business in December 1996, becoming one of the Mission's nighttime favorites. The stylish decor and cozy, dim ambience are attractions in themselves, but the strong drinks and great DJ's make the experience worth repeating. The Skylark has a great sound system and a cozy dance floor.

The Skylark features local San Francisco DJ's every night and there is never a cover charge.
